About
Merydia was founded on a straightforward observation: the people who most need a trustworthy way to meet someone are the ones most poorly served by the existing options.
The major dating apps are built for volume and engagement — not for considered introductions. They are designed to keep you on the platform, not to help you leave it. The dedicated over-55 services have not kept pace with what members actually need, and in some cases have let members down badly.
Merydia does one thing: introduce you to one person a week, after verifying who they are and reviewing whether the introduction makes sense. No browsing. No unsolicited messages. No automatic renewals.
Every member verifies their identity with a government-issued document before their profile goes live. Every profile is reviewed by a person before any introduction is made. This is not optional and it does not vary.

Sydney-raised with over 20 years in technology. Like a lot of people in this industry, Kes spent years building products designed to maximise engagement — and eventually grew tired of the gap between what those products promised and what they actually delivered for the people using them.
Co-founder
Also Sydney-raised, with 20+ years in technology with a focus on trust, safety and platform integrity. Joe's background is in understanding how online systems can be abused — and in building the controls that prevent it. That experience is built into Merydia from the ground up.
"The dating app industry is not incentivised to help people find genuine connections — it is incentivised to keep them searching. We built Merydia because we think that is wrong, and because we had the skills to do something about it."
— Kes Paripurapavan and Joe Nadel, Co-founders
