These Terms of Use apply to founding member applications submitted through merydia.app. They do not yet govern access to the Merydia matching service, which is not yet live. Full service terms will be published before the matching service opens.
1.1 Merydia is a curated introduction service operated by Merydia Digital Pty Ltd (ACN 698 772 315) ('Merydia', 'we', 'us', 'our'). The service is designed for adults aged 50 and over in Sydney and Melbourne.
1.2 Merydia is currently accepting founding member applications. The matching service — through which introductions are delivered — is not yet open. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or access to the matching service.
1.3 When the matching service opens, members will receive one curated introduction per week, delivered every Monday at noon. Neither party can browse, search for, or contact the other unless an introduction has been made by Merydia.
2.1 You must be 50 years of age or older to apply.
2.2 You must be single, separated, divorced, or widowed and free to pursue introductions through the service.
2.3 You must be located in Sydney or Melbourne. Merydia is launching in these cities first. Applications from other locations are recorded but cannot currently be accepted.
2.4 You must provide accurate information in your application. Misrepresentation is grounds for rejection or, if discovered after acceptance, immediate account termination.
2.5 You must be a natural person. Applications on behalf of a company or other entity are not permitted.
3.1 Submitting an application creates no legal obligation on either party. We are not obliged to accept any application, and you are not obliged to proceed if accepted.
3.2 Every application is reviewed by a member of our team. We will contact you by email once we have reviewed your application. We do not guarantee a response timeframe.
3.3 If accepted, you will be asked to complete identity verification using a government-issued document before your profile goes live. This step is mandatory and non-negotiable.
3.4 We reserve the right to decline any application without providing reasons.
4.1 Information you provide in your application is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4.2 If you opt in to marketing communications, we will send you updates about Merydia's launch. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing apply@merydia.app or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
5.1 By submitting an application you agree to our Community Standards. These will apply in full once the matching service opens.
5.2 You must not use any part of this website or the application process to harass, defraud, or harm any other person.
6.1 The application process and this website are provided as-is. We make no warranty that the website will be available without interruption or that the matching service will open on any particular date.
6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Merydia's liability in connection with the application process is limited to AU$0, as no payment is taken at this stage.
7.2 We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive loss arising from your application or your use of this website.
8.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
9.1 We may update these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated by email to applicants who have provided their email address. The current version is always available at merydia.app/terms.
